AN SS GUARD

No matter how hard you try I doubt you will be able to even imagine what it would be like putting dozens of people – dozens of good people to death just because of their religion every single day. I am not one of the sick and twisted people who enjoy doing this – no – I am one of those people who get stuck in a situation and they just can’t get out. Beating children and women is cruel and there is no reason for it. I don’t discriminate against people biased on their religion or race or gender. Because after all, who is to say that the good people are made white instead of black or are Christian instead of Jewish. There are many people who think the way I do and then again there are many people who don’t. If I had to say the hardest part of being a guard at concentration camps is knowing that the only thing that separates the guards from the people being slaughtered every day is their religion – their beliefs.

I got forced into working here as an ultimatum. I was either going to be put to death or I was the one that was going to be the one putting other people to death. I had messed up for a little while and it resulted in jail. My family was disappointed so I figured I would do anything to get out of jail just so they would be proud of me again. So I jumped at the opportunity before I even heard what the job in tales. So now I just do whatever the boss orders. Wheither it is beating up an woman because she was being obnoxious or putting a baby to death because it wouldn’t stop crying. Life here is hard for both groups and there is nothing you can do to fix it.

Once this is all over I don’t think I will look at life the same way again. I wont be too afraid to stop and take in my surroundings or look at the sunny side of life. I kind of think of it like an obligation, to all those who lives have been taken. I feel like I have to live their lives for them because they can’t.

"indifference is worse than hate"

In my opinion there are two sides to this quote and i will briefly explore both of them and then give you my consensus. Indifference can be worse than hate in many ways. For example, if you have a strong hatred for somthing or someone it gives you reason to fight and to hold on but if you just don't care than your life is meaningless. If you were a jew being put into concentration camps you might just accept the fact that you were going to be thrown in the furnace or you that you will be worked to death.
Or is the quote mistaken. Is hate worse than indifference? is hating worse than not caring? You could use the hatred that you had burning in side you for the people that stuck in that hell, and you could fight for you right to live. but then that may turn you into this person that is afraid to be happy and inspiring because of all that hatred.
but i believe that the quote is correct. i think you should go through life fighting like hell when times get rough and hope that things get easier. you need to care about things in order to stay alive and if you are being put into concentration camps there would no better time that you needed fight and to want to live so you could be a surviver.

Who is to blame for Romeo and Juliet's death?

In the play of Romeo and Juliet there are many, many people to blame for the downfall of Romeo and Juliet. But if I had to pick just one person it would be Juliet. Some of the main reasons I think she is to blame are; she drank the poison, she rushed into the marriage, and she is a Capulet. In case you are confused I will go a little in depth to my accusations toward Juliet for the cause of her and Romeo’s death; starting with the poison. First off, even though this doesn’t really matter when it comes down to Romeo and Juliet killing themselves, Juliet didn’t even know that the “poison” wasn’t really poison. Secondly, once she took the poison there was no turning back and she had no idea that Romeo was out of the loop.

The second reason I think she is to blame is because she rushed into the marriage. When Romeo snuck over to her house after the ball she is the one who asked him to marry her. I understand that they were in love and they wanted to elope, just like people in modern days, but Juliet knew that the family’s were in a long lasting fued, so why was she so pushy? Maybe if they had waited a couple days she could have atleast tried to explain to her father and mother how she felt, they might have understood. I kind of demonstrated how being a Capulet played a roll in the problematic marriage of Romeo and Juliet. All of these mistakes and unfortunate consequences I believe played a big role in the death of the two lovers. Juliet played a big role in there death, as I have outlined, because if all these things hadn’t happened they would not have died. For example, if she hadn’t drank the “poison” then she would’ve married Paris and she could’ve still ran away with Romeo. If she haden’t asked Romeo to get married then maybe he might not have been quite as devastated about her “death” and killed himself; that is if she took the “poison”. And the main root of the problem was her being a Capulet. If she wasn’t a Capulet two things would have happened. She wouldn’t have had an arranged marrage and she would have been allowed to date and marry Romeo. So if Juliet hadn’t done those things, or been born into the family she was born in, maybe Romeo and Juliet would have lived a great life together. But if that happened this wouldn’t be known today as one of the greatest love stories of all times. So I say way to go Juliet, your mistakes, made history!
